Dear Parents, March 2020
Just a brief note to let you know that Granada FC has completed our first commercial deal for the exclusive manufacture and supply of playing kit and the establishment of a new Granada shop with Wolfhound and Elk. This is an exciting time for the club as it continues to grow across all age groups and we feel the timing is right to move to the next level in terms of playing kit and merchandising.
The first ventures with Wolfhound and Elk have been the design of a brand new playing and travelling kit for all our members heading to Vincennes in France at the end of May and the design of a new bespoke kit for all taking part in our 50th celebration blitz on Good Friday in April. There is also a new commemorative 50th jersey that’s just left the design department so exciting times ahead.
Wolfhound and Elk is a new Irish company set up by founder and CEO Steve Daly. Their unique product is made from 100% recycled plastic bottles. Hard to believe or understand but it’s exciting, it’s new and it’s the future. Please see attachment .
Granada will be the first sports club on the island of Ireland to be wearing recycled plastic bottles – in keeping with our strong commitment to a green agenda. There will be more to follow when the company formally launches over the coming months.
I would like to sincerely thank Steve for choosing Granada as his first venture with this new exciting product. The club is very pleased to be partnering with such an innovative business.
I would also like to thank Ciaran Kane our club chairman and Michael Leonard our club treasurer for their participation in getting the final negotiations over the line and Les Holmes for his advice and guidance from the conceptualisation of this project.
In order to roll out new playing kit across all teams in the club we are looking for a club sponsor.
We are open to talking to everyone so please contact me if you have any ideas or know a company that would be interested in corporate sponsorship. My contact details are below.
This is an important drive for sponsorship. Our new kit has two sides and two sleeves available to sponsor. We want company names on each of them and we need your help. Please step up and make a difference in our 50th year.
We look forward to a great working relationship with Wolfhound and Elk for many years to come.
Yours in football,
